Renee Montoya is a fictional comic book character published by DC Comics. The character was initially created for Batman: The Animated Series, and was preemptively introduced into mainstream comics before the airing of her animated debut in 1992.
The character has developed over the years. Renee is initially a police detective from the Gotham City Police Department, assigned to the Major Crimes Unit who comes into frequent contact with the masked vigilante, Batman. Over the course of her comic book history, Renee is outed as a lesbian, and later resigns from the police force. After being trained by the first man to bear the name, Montoya now operates as the Question out of a lighthouse she shares with Aristotle Rodor in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

bluejaybirdie: comicbooksawesome: direwolfhugs: Renee Montoya by Marcus To I promised myself I wouldn’t spend any money at Toronto Comic Con, that I was just heading up to visit Go and Peri…but then Marcus To was there and his prices were OUTRAGEOUSLY AFFORDABLE and I ended up not being able to resist. He’s also like the chillest nicest dude ever (and his gf is seriously awesome too), I ended up spending most of Sunday just watching him draw and talking his ear off and enjoying the hanging out even more than this gorgeous commission. HE REALLY LOVES GOTHAM CENTRAL THIS IS HOW YOU KNOW HE’S A SUPER SOLID INDIVIDUAL OKAY. Go got a “Huntress” interior of Helena looking like a boss in sunglasses and she and Renee hung out cozily inside his comic bag for most of my visit. B) (Feel free to reblog w/o my text but keep the first line!) Oh my god… sooooo, Marcus To for that Question’s/Huntress book I was talking about? *_*

dakotaaaa: Anon asked for my favorite character in Gotham PD. Well I bet you are all really surprised that it’s Renee Montoya. Man, I wish they would make a Gotham PD TV show, with Batman junk happening in the background, but focusing on more cop drama stuff. I would watch that.
